"Delivering babies and caring for children
are two of the joys of Family Practice."
 -- caption from NCFP picture

At NCFP, four doctors do obstetric and prenatal care: Dr. Roger Estep, Dr. Lucia Muller, Dr. Jonathan Ploudre and Dr. Sloane Winkes. We practice low-risk obstretrics. That means that we perform vaginal deliveries and rarely, if necessary, vacuum-assisted deliveries. Patients that will likely need a cesarian section will be referred to an Ob/Gyn doctor. In that case, we usually are the assisting physician so we can keep track of what happening in your care. We are also happy to take care of your baby in the hospital (as are all the doctors at NCFP).

Do you deliver your own patients?

Almost all the time, we deliver our own patients. We have a backup system. So 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, there is always a doctor available in case your doctor is out of town or unavailable.

What over-the-counter medications are safe in pregnancy?
