Originally from New York, Lucia grew up in a small rural community very similar to Mount Vernon. She went to college in Massachusetts (Mount Holyoke) and moved to Washington in 1989. She attended the University of Washington Medical School and took her residency in Seattle at Group Health Cooperative. She is board certified in Family Medicine.
Lucia likes to partner with her patients to provide optimum care for both acute and long term issues. She tries to motivate people through education and humor to take responsibility for maintaining their own health. Her particular areas of interest include cardiovascular disease and obstetrics.
Lucia’s personal interests include spending time with family, running, skiing, horseback riding, gardening and other more domestic pursuits like gourmet cooking.
